Winter in Sapporo is well known for mountains of snow. It’s cold and the fishing slows down, but it never stops entirely. Sapporo Streams will begin offering a winter day outing starting in the 26’-27’ winter season. This would typically involve a pickup from your hotel around dawn (6am), arrival at Lake Shikotsu by 7:30, 4-5 hours of fishing, then an onsen at a lakeside resort and a warm meal of traditional Japanese food before returning to Sapporo mid-afternoon.
